Course Details
Our nine-hole course has variations on both tees and greens which creates a considerable difference from the front and back nines. The course was designed by Thomas R. Smith in 1973. It is rated by Golf Digests “Places to Play” as one of the finest nine holes in Alaska. In 2017, Zachary and Anna Cowan purchased the golf course from Pat and Myrna Cowan and have kept the atmosphere a very family friendly place.
Birch Ridge Golf Course offers a variety of holes that integrate the natural contours of the land while preserving the beautiful Alaskan scenery, including two active volcanoes, the Kenai Mountain Range and the Kenai River Valley.
The course record is (-8) 62, recorded on 8/21/09 by Aaron Dexheimer, a playing Pro on both California and Alaska circuits who grew up on Birch Ridge Golf Course.
We’re sure you’ll enjoy the beautiful views, but you will also find Birch Ridge Golf Course uniquely challenging.
